Australia Day
on Sydney Harbour
The place to be on Australia
Day is Sydney Harbour amidst all the action.
Join us aboard our spectacular vessels and
participate in the numerous celebrations and
festivities. The day begins with the aptly
named “ferrython” where the ferries
that normally service the Sydney Harbour waterways
are completely transformed into a spectacular
show of colour and race for line honours.
Once the ancient cannon on fort Dennison is
fired these ferries jump to life with the
entire spectator fleet following close behind.
Following the course from in front of the
Opera house and past shark island before turning
back to the city our vessels follow every
moment of the action. With all the glory going
to the skipper of the first ferry to cross
the line under the Harbour bridge you will
see every trick in the book… But this
is just the start. Right after the conclusion
of this spectacular event you can enjoy the
Australia Day parade. At 2:00pm sit back and
watch pilots from the RAAF perform precision
flying above us, and still the day is not
over.
